Top Golf Thanksgiving

Typically we get together with my husband‘s family for Thanksgiving. Either his sister hosts or we do, and we do the traditional meal: turkey, stuffing, rolls, pies, etc. But this year is different, of course. More than a month ago my employer started encouraging everyone to rethink holiday traditions. We thought about canceling, but that didn‘t seem like the best choice.

We kept thinking, and one day as we were driving home from Noblesville I saw Top Golf and started thinking that might work. I asked Andrew, and he thought it might work. We asked the rest of the family, and they were in favor of it. So I booked a couple bays.

It was really fun. We spent three hours golfing and eating and talking, outdoors and wearing masks as much as possible. The girls both golfed pretty much the whole time, and it was probably better for them than a typical gathering. The food was good, and the service was great.

The best part was when Jack decided he needed a higher tee and used a celery stick as a substitute. It worked, kind of, once!

Not a typical Thanksgiving, but we made the most of it!
