Ellie turned sixteen last December, and shortly after the quarantine lifted she got her driver’s license and her first car. Well, technically it’s not her car, because she didn’t pay for it. But it’s available to her to drive to school and other activities, and to take her sister places.
Friday she was heading to a friend’s house, and a college kid suddenly turned left in front of her. She hit his passenger side door hard enough to cause her airbags to deploy. Thankfully, no one was in the other car’s passenger seat, and neither of the drivers were hurt.
So now, we’re dealing with an insurance claim. And I’m guessing the Rogue will be totaled. Did I mention the rental car places won’t allow her to drive because she’s under 18? Not a great way to start a weekend.
