Easter Sunday

It’s Easter morning, and today we’re doing the same thing we’ve done for the past month: staying in. Usually, we spend Easter with family. Two years ago we hosted both sides. It was a crazy circus, but it was also really nice. Last year, Mom was recovering from a hospital stay, so my side celebrated at my sister’s. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and we all spent almost the whole time outside. We also opened Christmas gifts at Easter last year, because the weather had postponed our Christmas get-together. This year it’s supposed to rain all day and get colder as the day goes on.

We will have Easter, though. We’re eating turkey, stuffing, and green beans. Madeline made a cake, and I’m going to make a pecan pie cobbler. The Easter bunny came last night, and there will be an indoor egg hunt. We’ll remember the reason for the day. And that will have to be enough.
