Today, in a parallel universe, we are leaving for Spring Break. In this universe, we are Staying In/Staying at Home/Flattening the Curve. This would NOT have been the best part of Spring Break, because it would have been a twelve-hour drive in one day. We were planning to get up at 2 or 3 am to get a jump on traffic. So I don‘t miss that!

Instead, I slept until 7 am, then took a long walk with Madeline and Georgia. It was a little foggy and really pretty.

I had a work call at 10 am that lasted about an hour. Then I made a carrot cake. See, I gave up chocolate for Lent, except for Spring Break. But since this is Un-Spring Break, that exception doesn‘t work. So I needed a little non-chocolate treat. It turned out pretty well!

Other than that, I have been watching Tiger King. That’s about it. Not very exciting. I’d rather be in NOLA.
